John Karwacki is a dynamic leader, motivator, and facilitator who joins Practical Decisions with an extensive business acumen gained through 40 years of executive experience in the retail and commercial banking industries. As a Vice President with PVH Corp, a Fortune 500 company and one of the world’s largest and most admired fashion companies, John's vision and strategic initiatives grew top-line sales for 5 years running and transformed one the most unprofitable divisions into one of the most profitable.
Having considerable experience with the entire spectrum of the business cycle, John has vast expertise helping companies navigate the complexities of rapid growth and expansion during good times, as well as right-sizing, consolidation and dealing with the changes that come during more challenging periods. He was instrumental in successfully consolidating and integrating the field management teams of 4 distinct retail brands with 450 stores and 6,000 associates producing in excess of $700M in sales. John created sales and travel budgets, geographic alignments, policies and procedures, and helped guide a team of 50 field supervisors during the process.
John's experience in recruiting, screening, and selecting best-talent, creating training programs, developing teams, performance management, and talent assessment is unparalleled. He has been awarded an I & D badge from PVH having covered a variety of today's top-of-mind concerns ranging from cultural and emotional self-awareness, diversity, inclusion, and unconscious bias. John helped his team to develop and cultivate skills to address the challenges of diversity and equity in today's workplace.
