John, a Principal in Practical Decisions, has more than 25 years experience in front-line, middle management and senior executive positions. As Vice President of Strategic Planning and Development for a $300 million subsidiary of a Fortune 120 company, John was a core member of a management that doubled revenues and turned one of the most unprofitable divisions into one of the most profitable.
In 1999, John was involved in merging two "equals", a $75 million company with an $80 million company, into a third multi-billion dollar organization. John had responsibility for consolidating and integrating field operations. The merger involved 20 offices, over 200 people, 2500 customers, and all related support systems and processes across the U.S. The transition was completed in less than nine months, well ahead of schedule, and resulted in better than anticipated customer retention and reduced expenses.
